Federal law enforcement using A 64 sq ft unit: comfortable sleepingFire Fighters check out the unit elevated on truck bedSince early January Life Cube teams have been visiting various locations in Los Angeles County to offer shelters and learn where they can be most useful. With a new shipment of the Transformer Tent (8' x 8' size) coming in, arrangements are being made through local service organizations, for our Life Cubes donated through the Rescue the Future project, to be placed where most needed. The February shipment will provide a slightly different style Transformer Tent (pictured below) , initially designed for the Lahaina fire victims with large windows for air flow and large awnings for sun shade, features that were also requested by the US Air Force, and recreational customers.
Other Life Cube models come in RSCs - Rolling Shipping Containers - for easy transport. These RSCs transform into 164 sq ft of raised foundation and include a 12'x12' shelter with off-grid power. World Central Kitchen has rented this LC-12 model, ready on the West Coast for quick deployments as needed.
