Our story
"We could get men to the moon but couldn't get shelter to earthquake survivors who would freeze that night."
— Michael Conner, Founder & Inventor
Life Cube spent two decades building Army-validated, disaster-grade shelter. The Transformer brings that same rapidly deployable structure to your campsite, your truck, and the water — recreation and readiness in one shelter. Proudly engineered in Santa Barbara, California. Federal Contractor CAGE 61YX6.
FAQ
Transformer questions, answered.
How big is the Transformer?
It has an 8' × 8' rigid base and a 6'6" interior height — walk right in and stand up. It sleeps a family of four or more and fits a king mattress.
Where can I use it?
On the ground, in a truck bed (while parked), or floating on the water (while securely tethered). The same tent covers recreation, camping, and disaster preparedness.
How long does setup take?
Minutes. It inflates with the included pump and holds its air for days or weeks — no constant air after the first inflation.
Is it insulated?
The Transformer has a 4" insulated, buoyant floor and weatherproof walls built on inflatable beams. If you want 2" insulated walls for true four-season use, look at the YURTi.
What is it made of?
The tent fabric is 300D Nylon Oxford weave with a waterproof PU coating, and the air beams are PVC laminate.
